Are you in doubt if you buy a property in ORLANDO or MIAMI and do not know which of the two cities is better?

In fact, there is not one better city than the other. It all depends on what you and your family prefers. While one city can offer a beach, the other offers wonderful parks for the kids … But that’s just the beginning.

MIAMI – This city is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with a commercial, industrial, and financial center without fault, and by 2012, the population had more than 2.5 million inhabitants. Known as Miami-Dade County, it is south of Broward County, or Fort Lauderdale, which incorporates an additional population of 1.7 million. A little further north, completing the three counties of South Florida, is Palm Beach County, with the famous cities of West Palm Beach and Boca Raton, and a small population of 1.2 million. Of all Florida residents, 60% are Latino.

Most of the city’s residents are immigrants from both other states and from other countries. Many are attracted to this city by the tropical climate, fleeing from the snow of the north, or of political and economic situations of their countries. Still others come to Miami in search of their universities and hospitals in search of higher education, or better health care, and end up getting passionate about the climate, quality of life, and variety of options. This is a city that bubbles with activities during the day and night, with lots of beauty, bikinis, drinks, flowers, palm trees, and many lights through the city. Miami has several attractions, from tourism, shopping, cultural and sporting events, to casinos. Here you have beaches and all water sports related to water. You can “catch a wave,” ride a jet ski or boats of all sizes, or take a last minute cruise. In Miami the night is very lively, with all kinds of clubs, where it is very easy to find celebrities, or meet friends for a chopp. There always appears a festival, be it art, wine, theater, there is always something interesting to do.

There are several and mighty shopping malls in the city, including the famous and beloved Aventura Mall, and two outlets, the Sawgrass and Dolphin Mall each with over 590 discount stores. There is still Ikea, the largest home decor store and several other shopping spots, such as Lincoln Road, and other outdoor malls such as Gulfstream Racetrack, Hard Rock Cafe, or BaySide Mall. Other malls, known as Malls, are the Dadeland, The Falls, International Mall, Ball Harbor, Galleria, Festival, Mouth and so many others, each with its individual characteristics. In every neighborhood we find a mall, and there is always a supermarket close by.

Miami has grown unplanned, and given unemployment in recent years (9.2% in 2013), it is not uncommon to find areas that are a little more depressed, or beggars on some streets. A few years ago this was non-existent in the US, but a reality today in the city.
From Miami, in a few hours, you can go south to Key West, west to Naples, and north to Orlando, Daytona, St. Augustine, or Jacksonville, simply beautiful places. Miami is centrally located to ports not only for international cargo shipping, but for several Caribbean cruises and various tourist parts of the world.

ORLANDO – Here you are in an eternal Mickey Mouse holiday mood at Disney and the other theme parks in the city. This is a relaxed city, much smaller than Miami, and in 2012 it had 249 thousand inhabitants.

Orlando has Universal Studios, Legoland, SeaWorld, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Wet ‘n’ Wild, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Kennedy Space … The list is gigantic. It’s hard to see everything in just a week, or a short vacation. It is necessary to come several times to know each other well, to enjoy each park several times, and to know every roller coaster, every bit of the park. In fact, it takes a whole childhood …

The tricky thing in Orlando, or in the parks in general, is that on vacation, there are many queues in attractions. Therefore, it is always good to visit out of season, and for those who have a home in this city, a runaway out of season is wonderful.

Real estate in Orlando is much more in mind than real estate in Miami. Even the hotels in the area are not expensive. But park ticket prices can cost a bit dear, when added to the whole family, every day, in several of these parks. There are several discounts for those who live in Florida, be sure to show proof of your property to receive these benefits!

Orlando was a planned city, in the middle of a region that at first had nothing. A dream of our dear Walt Disney, the city began to grow. The unemployment rate in 2012 was

of 6.5% and attracts many immigrants, not always Latinos, like other areas of the state. The cost of living is low and there is a comprehensive public transport system such as LYNX and iRIDE. Hotels and parks also offer transportation between one place and another in the city.

Orlando also has its malls, malls and outlets. The best known of all is The Mall at Milenia, with over 150 shops and restaurants. For outlets, or discount stores, the Prime has two malls each also with more than 150 stores. They are very similar to each other, you do not have to visit them, just the one that is closest to you.

The temperature here is hotter than Miami, because it lacks the sea breeze … Just like in winter, it can get a little cooler too.
The city is well centered in the state, and in recent years has become an excellent logistics point for several export companies. Orlando is one hour from Tampa to the West, and from Gainsville to the north.
